Portobello Mushroom Burger

Hey, Tribe! Yesterday we had a little get together. Mom Dukes made hamburgers for the family and a portobello burger for my sister and me. It was AMAZING and it’s easy to make completely vegan!

INGREDIENTS

(makes 4 servings)

4 large, portobello mushrooms

4 buns

1 small onion

1-2 avocados

1 large tomato

4 pickle spears

4 slices of provolone cheese (or cheese sub)

1 tbs worcestershire sauce (not vegan)

1- 1 1/2 tbs olive oil

1 tbs chipotle sauce

Just Mayo (V)

Seasonings: salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Scrape gills out of mushrooms, add seasonings, and allow them to marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Cook in skillet or grill over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. While mushrooms cook, mix mayo and chipotle sauce to make a creamy chipotle mayo. Add lime juice for an extra kick.
  4. Assemble burger with veggie goodness.

I definitly recommend that you give this one a try! They were so good, I enjoyed TWO 😂 Serve them up with fresh cut & baked fries to really set it off. Comment below & let me know what your favorite veggie burger recipe is!!
